What’s New?
To help you prepare for September, we’ve introduced some exciting new features to the Startingpoint platform. Each one is designed to make transitions smoother, student journeys more meaningful, and engagement easier for everyone involved:
✅ Intro Videos
Students can now introduce themselves on camera, giving educators, mentors, and employers a real sense of the person behind the profile.
✅ Shareable Profiles
With permission, young people aged 16+ can now share their Startingpoint profile via a unique link. Perfect for applications to training providers, apprenticeship schemes or employers.
✅ Qualification Evidence Uploads
Students can now upload PDFs or photos of qualifications and achievements, making it easier to demonstrate credibility and build trust.
✅ Smarter Employability Passports
Skills can now be directly linked to real evidence. This simplifies the process and brings those ‘I can do this’ moments to life.
✅ Organisation Reporting
Admins and mentors now have access to enhanced reporting, including login activity, employability passport progress, and skills tracking.

Why It Matters
